There's been some speculation by the press whether she'll become a fashion icon as Princess Diana, R.I.P was known for her elegant and sophisticated style, but will Kate Middleton follow in her footsteps? Is she an icon by her own right or by her status?

Shes definitely an icon, shes got a great sense of style, she always looks impeccable, smart and sophisticated. love her. Soooo pleased they're getting married and the ceremony was lovely :) xxx
I think that Catherine (as we should now call her, or Duchess of Cambridge) is such a fashion icon - I sure hope that she does continue to shop at high-street chains and not become one of those celebs who love designer only.

I absolutely adore them together, I wish them all the happiness in the world. I think she'll be a big fashion icon, but I can't see her being as big as Diana. But then again, it's been a while since we've had a princess, so she might even get more popular!
