For Bank Holiday weekend my boyfriend surprised me with a trip to Llangollen in Wales. I was so excited to get away for a couple of days and venture somewhere new! I love exploring places I've never been before and it was so nice just to get away for a bit. With all the stress of university work and 9 deadlines coming up in the next 3 weeks I'm so stressed at the moment!
We arrived on the sunday morning and it was such a lovely sunny day. It is so busy when we got to llangollen so it's obviously a popular place to go and visit! It was such a lovely town and had lots of lovely places to eat!
This is what I had for lunch! For this meal I had chicken, bacon and cheese with BBQ and Chorizo. It was so so yummy and definitely filled me up!
To help burn off all the calories we had just eaten, me and Ben walked to the top of this castle ruin. It was on the top of quite a steep hill which took us about 45 minutes to walk up. It was so beautiful the view and the castle once we got to the top though!
Once we walked down the hill again where the castle was, we had dinner in a pub along the side of the river. It was so lovely and as it was such a sunny day, it was so nice to sit outside and eat.
After we'd left the hotel the next day we headed to a tea rooms for a late breakfast. They officially made the best scones ever! Who doesn't love scones with clotted cream and jam?! mmmm....

Here's a cute photo of me and Ben once when we stopped on our drive, the views were amazing we just stopped a few times, relaxed and took the views in. We spent the rest of the day driving around, seeing all the gorgeous views that Wales has to offer. We definitely want to go back and visit wales as the views were just amazing. It's crazy to think we were only a couple of hours away from home!
What do you think of Wales? Any places you'd recommend going to visit?
