Glo and Ray is a brand I haven't heard before but since finding out about it I've really loved using the products. I've never actually shopped on Beauty Mart online before but I'll definitely be shopping there again. Beauty Mart stocks brands including Elizabeth Arden, Embryolisse, Tangle Teezer and Starskin. Glo and Ray is a brand that is designed to complement every woman's unique look, uniting the radiant elegance of light with both grace and femininity.
First of all the packaging of the Glo and Ray products is very sleek and professional. It reminds me a lot of the Nars product packaging. One thing I do like about Glo and Ray is that the products are very affordable. I wouldn't put them at the high end as the lipsticks are only £12 each, the eyeshadow quad is £12.50, the eyeliner is £9 and the blusher is £11. The prices of these products are quite similar to drugstore brand Soap and Glory.
Glo and Ray Eyeshadow Quad in Mariposa
I'm very much a neutral sort of girl when it comes to what sort of eyeshadows I reach for. This eyeshadow quad from Glo and Ray has really changed my mind. I still reach for the neutral colours but for evenings out I've loved reaching for the purple shades. The darker shade in the corner of my eyes and the lighter purple shade for a pop of colour.
Glo and Ray Blush in Nuage
This blush looks a lot more colourful then it is when it's in the palette. I love using this for an accent of colour to my cheeks and I think this would work really well on darker skin tones.
This lipstick is probably the product I've used the most as I tend to reach for neutral lipstick colours more on a daily basis. I find I use this more to reapply lipstick during the day as it's light with a hint of colour.
This eyeliner seriously doesn't budge. What I love using this for is for when I'm going for a smokey eye look. I use the blue shade from the
Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette for a hint of colour and then use this eyeliner to intensify the colour and it looks amazing (You may need an eye make-up remover to be able to remove this though!)
This lipstick colour I absolutely love. I think this is the sort of red/orange shade which looks best on my skin tone. As much as I love my MAC lipstick in Lady Danger that lipstick is incredibly drying. I love this shade from Glo and Ray as it's moisturising and looks really good with a neutral make-up look.
(eyeliner, lipstick in Marigold and lipstick in Tender swatches)
I think Glo and Ray is definitely a brand to watch, especially for those of you who love using colour when it comes to your make-up looks!
