Summer is probably my favourite time of the year when it
comes to beauty boxes. I really think that the beauty box brands pull out all
the stops when it comes to creating amazing themed summer boxes. This months
Birchbox definitely gets you in a summer mood.
Firstly, this months box is completely different to the
normal boxes, as it’s come in the form of a draw. How awesome does this look? I
think over the months you’ll be able to collect your own set of draws and where
else would you need to store your beauty products?
Percy & Reed create such amazing hair care products,
they don’t only smell and do wonderful things for your hair, they look pretty on
your table too. This hairspray is great for taming flyaways but it also leaves
your hair smelling great too.
Jelly pong pong is a brand I used to love when I first got
into using make-up. This is a full-size product and it can be used to add some
colour into your make-up routine. You can use this on your cheeks and lips and
it can be built up to create a more pigmented colour.
Absolution is a brand I don’t think I’ve ever tried before
and I have to admit I was a little confused when I first saw this product in
this months box. However, after reading the leaflet inside the box, trying out
the product I really like it. This is a gentle gel face cleanser and leaves
your skin feeling refreshed and moisturised. It’s made of natural ingredients including
camomile too.
James Read is a brand I’ve never heard of before but after a
bit of research the brand is well known for their tanning products. This
product was created to tan your face overnight. It has a fast drying formula
and goes on colourless. If you’re looking for a golden glow overnight this is
your dream product.
Laura Mercier Souffle Body Creme in Ambre Vanille - (Full size £45)
Laura Mercier is a brand I aspire to be able to buy. It’s
expensive and a little out of reach and so I was delighted to see a Laura
Mercier product in this months box. This soufflé cream has grape seed, sweet
almond and vanilla extract inside. This leaves my skin feeling soft and
smelling like an absolute dream!
Overall, I really love this months box. It has a great variety of products inside, but as usual I miss the more 'make-up' based products which normally come with Birchbox boxes. My favourite product in this months box is the Percy & Reed hairspray as it's travel size, easy to use and practical. I also really like the Laura Mercier souffle cream too.

I haven't signed upto any beauty boxes at all but I think I would like the randomness - is there any tht you would recommend??
