Lifestyle: Impulse Island Festival #LiveLifeOnImpulse

Ever since I was about 15/16 years old I’ve always carried an Impulse body spray in my handbag. I find them so refreshing, easy to use and perfect for when you don’t want to carry around your favourite perfume. They’re normally between £1-£2 so they don’t break the bank either and I will always carry one of these fragrances in a clutch bag when I’m on a night out.

When an email dropped in my inbox a few weeks ago inviting me to Impulse Island (to celebrate the launch of Charli XCX’s fragrance collaboration Limited Edition Impulse Why Not?

I was ecstatic to be working with one of my favourite brands and a brand that’s been a part of me growing up too.

Last Thursday, I headed down to London with my friend Annoush and we were taken to Osea Island. If you’ve not heard of Osea Island – the location for Impulse Island – it’s near Maldon, Essex and this was our location for the day.

The island had yummy food, amazing music and everything you could wish for from a roller disco, floral crown making, and karaoke to getting a makeover in the ‘glam squad’ cabin. First thing I did was head on over to the glam squad section and got my hair plaited, glitter on my face but also my nails done by the lovely Vanity Van (and everyone there was so nice!) a few other bloggers were there including Hannah and Heidi (check their blogs out here and here) and it was so nice catching up with them.

We spent the evening relaxing, chilling, soaking in the atmosphere (literally did as it was raining so much) and eating yummy food. I had my first ever beef burger from Patty and Bun too and it was absolutely delicious.

Soon after we watched Charli XCX perform and she was absolutely amazing. It was such an intimate gig (probably about 200 people) and she was so good live. I danced the night away before heading home. I really enjoyed my day at Impulse Island and it was so incredible to be asked to go!

Now onto the reason behind Impulse Island, the new fragrance from Impulse’s Charli XCX collection Limited Edition Impulse Why Not?. The new fragrance is all about embracing your “wild” side and trying something new. This fragrance is like having a holiday in a can, because it’s so fun and tropical. The fragrance is vibrant and citrusy with notes of bergamot, frozen lemon and bitter orange.

What I really like about this fragrance is the packaging. The packaging was hand designed by Charli and the jungle-inspired can shows bright, cool and quirky icons, including tigers; palm trees and tropical fruits, making this fragrance the perfect summer must have.
