Beauty: August Beauty Favourites ft Estee Lauder, NYX, Urban Decay

I feel like this year has led me to find some beauty products that I’ll love and use for years and years to come. I think that’s one of the reasons I like putting together ‘beauty favourites’ post each month (or at least try to anyway!)

This months favourites include NYX, Urban Decay, Estee Lauder, Abercrombie and Fitch and Zoeva. These favourites include new launches I love and also those favourites that I’ll forever repurchase when they run out.

NYX HD Concealer in CW10/Yellow - £5.50

I think I’ll always be obsessed with the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer; it’s hands down the best concealer I’ve ever used. However, it’s quite expensive at £17.50 a pop. I am more of a high-street make-up girl and as much as I adore the Urban Decay concealer, I have been trying to find an alternative. This NYX HD Concealer in the shade CW10 is made for hiding those dark circles when you’re feeling super tired (which means I have been using my Urban Decay concealer less to hide my under eye bags!). This concealer is so good and a total bargain at only £5.50.

Abercrombie & Fitch First Instinct Eau De Toilette - Debenhams

I never thought I’d enjoy a men’s cologne as much as I do. This is the newest eau de toilette from Abercrombie and Fitch and it’s the first fragrance to be sold outside of Abercrombie and Fitch boutiques. This fragrance is very modern and opens with Electronic Gin and Tonic combined with Kiwano Melon. I mean a gin and tonic smelling fragrance is my DREAM. NYX Strobe of Genius Illuminating Palette - Boots

This is a recent edition to my make-up collection and I’m absolutely obsessed with this palette. I think this palette is great as there are so many different highlighting/strobing shades and plus it’s only £15 for the palette too. I love using the larger 3 highlighting shades and they are super pigmented too.

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair - Boots

This is possibly the most exciting edition to my skincare routine EVER. I have wanted this for so long. Estee Lauder skincare is definitely not the cheapest skincare on the market, but it has some of the best skincare products I’ve ever tried on my skin. If there’s a product in my stash that’s really worth the hype it’s this. A little of this serum goes a REALLY long way. I’ve had various samples of this before (and used them all up) hence why it was time for an actual full size. Advanced Night Repair transforms my skin, it’s never been so soft, smooth, plump and moisturised and I think I’ll be using this for the rest of my life (especially to prevent the signs of aging!)

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in Med-Light Neutral 

This concealer is the absolute dream. I can’t get over how good this concealer is! It covers any sign of redness, dark circles or any spots you need covering. This is the only concealer I’ve used which doesn’t crease too. I love this concealer so much that I dedicated a whole blog post to it (which you can read here).

Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette - Beauty Bay

I feel like Zoeva is a brand that doesn’t get enough recognition in the beauty blogging industry. I find that the brushes are talking about 24/7 but the palettes and other make-up products are very underrated. Having said that, this is the only Zoeva palette I own (even though I am lusting after this one!) but this cocoa palette is absolutely beautiful. The eyeshadows are so pigmented, they last so long on your eyes and it looks a bit like a dupe for the Anastasia Modern Renaisance palette and it’s a fraction of the price!
