Do you spend hours in your local Boots or Superdrug scouring
the make-up aisles? Do you spend hours online reading blogs and looking at
beauty websites? I’ve found that lately the sorts of blog posts I’ve loved are
real honest beauty product reviews and I love the ‘bloggers made me do it’ sort
of posts. It helps me discover new products and find new products I’ll adore.
So I thought I’d share with you all the drugstore purchases which are worth
purchasing!
I’ve gone through about 3 of these sets over the past 4
years as I’ve used them everyday for so long. If you don’t own any products by
Real Techniques where have you been? If you’re looking for the ultimate budget
beauty make-up brush purchase you need this set. It comes with a buffing brush
(perfect for foundation), contour brush (great for contour, highlight and
bronzing) foundation brush and detailer brush. If you want to read a full
review on this set you can check out this post.
This has to be my favourite eyeshadow palette at the moment
and its absolutely gorgeous. The palette has so many colours, the pigmentation
of the products is so good and the eyeshadows last so well. If you want to see
a full review of the palette you can check out the post here.
There’s not many budget nail polishes on the high-street
that I really like, I tend to use the Nails Inc. sample polishes which come
through in magazines every now and again. However, when I do want a budget nail
polish I head straight to the No.7 counter in Boots. This is my most recent
discovery from No.7 and I’m obsessed with this shade (which is called Ginger).
It’s a great orange/brown shade and I think this is going to be my go-to autumn
nail polish.
NYX is one of the most popular make-up brands on the British
high street right now. What I really love about the brand is how good quality
the products are, how they really listen to make-up trends and they still
ensure their products are affordable. There are so many products from NYX I
love and this setting spray is one of them. This is the budget friendly version
of the Urban Decay setting spray and is well worth picking up when you’re next
in Boots (or fancy online shopping!)
If setting spray isn’t you thing, then NYX still have you
covered with this HD Finishing Powder in translucent. I love using this on ‘lighter’
make-up days and it really helps set my make-up.
I have a few of the soft matte lip creams by NYX (yes
another NYX product I told you I loved them) but this shade is by far my
favourite. Cannes is a pink toned ‘nude’ shade and it’s perfect for everyday
wear.
L'Oreal Brow Artist Plumper - £5.99
This product from L’Oreal is the absolute DREAM. It’s so
hard finding good brow products on the high-street (as Benefit is a little too
expensive!) but I think I’ve cracked it with the brow artist plumper. Whether I
am in a rush, or have loads of time to do my make-up, I absolutely adore using
this.
This is the concealer I like to call the ‘all-rounder’
whether you have a spot, blemish or just bad under eye circles, this concealer
will cover it for you. I love using this and blending it in with my beauty
blender.
Are any of these products favourites of yours? Do you have
any beauty recommendations for products to try?

I love the NYX HD Powder, I use the Banana one under my eyes. The Maybelline concealer is amazing, I use it more than my MAC Pro Longwear one!

NYX has always been one of those brands I wanted to try but I hate shopping online because I've had some bad experiences but finally NYX opened a store in my country so soon I'll be able to get those products you talked about (and probably many others...). Too bad we don't have Makeup Revolution here because that palette looks stunning!
