This year I got some really lovely gifts, some from my
family, friends and boyfriend and I feel super lucky so I thought I would put
together some of the presents I received (or bought with money for my birthday)
as I know how popular these sorts of posts are amongst the blogosphere.
Eau De Lacoste Pour Elle Natural - Boots
I remember smelling this in Boots a few weeks ago and loved
it and luckily my boyfriend bought me this as a birthday present. I find it
hard to describe fragrances, but this fragrance is so nice (as well as the pink
one too). This scent is uplifting and fresh; it also has notes pineapple,
raspberries, wild rose and jasmine. This is a great all year round fragrance
and it doesn’t break the bank. If you’re looking for a new fragrance I’d
recommend trying this range as there’s 3 types in total. Alongside Natural there is Sparkling and Elegant.
If there is one sort of book I adore reading it’s a fashion book.
I really like these sorts of books which are coming out at the moment and I’ve
always admired Vicky Pattison for her work ethic and what she’s done with her
career while maintaining good hair and make-up at the same time. I’ve already
read about a third of this book and I’ve really enjoyed it. It’s a great pick
me up/treat for yourself if you want a light hearted read which will make you
laugh too.
This purchase of mine was a repurchase as my last Urban
Decay concealer has run out (it was a really sad day). This concealer is by far
the best concealer I’ve ever used and it’s not too bad on price either if you
compare it to the higher end foundations that most people use e.g Nars, Estee
Lauder. I even wrote a review about how much I love this concealer and you can read the post here.
After reading possibly about 100 reviews on these shade
adjusting drops, when I went shopping on my birthday and a £5 gift voucher
appeared in my emails, I knew I had to make a purchase and finally pick these
shade adjusting drops up. One thing I don’t like about going on holiday is the
fact that by the time you get back your skin is a different colour and so these
drops will be an absolute lifesaver. I’ve read a few reviews about how these
drops are used for highlighting and contouring too and so they’re a great
investment.
I don’t think I’ve ever loved a make-up brand as much as I
love Urban Decay. It’s a brand, which I absolutely love and I’ve discovered so
many beauty products I adore thanks to Urban Decay however, I have never tried a
lip liner from the brand. I fell a little bit in love with this lip liner as it
goes with pretty much every nude lipstick I own.
Urban Decay Vice Lipsticks in Carnal and Conspiracy
Carnal is the lighter shade in the photo and Conspiracy is
the darker shade. I’ve had Carnal for a while just somehow haven’t mentioned it
on my blog before. I use this shade literally everyday and it is my favourite nude
lipstick in my collection. For my birthday however, when I picked up my
concealer and lip liner I loved this look of this lipstick. In a metalized
finish, this lipstick is moisturising and makes your lips look glimmering too. If you want to read about some of my favourite Urban Decay products you can check out this post.
This candle was a present from my parents and I absolutely love it. It smells so nice and has a very strong scent. I have heard so much about Neom Organics and I am so happy to finally own one of the candles from the brand. It helps that it's nice to photograph too!
Eat Beautiful is probably the most photogenic ‘coffee table’
book I own. I remember hearing about this box first in last month’s Glossybox
post (you can check the post out here) and I knew from the preview I needed to
own this book. I’ve read this box through once already and it’s given me a good
insight into how to improve my skin but also cook healthier too. It also helps
that this book is super nice to look at and flick through too!
I’ve heard so many good things about this book and I was
delighted when my friend bought me Scarlett’s book for my birthday. I haven’t
sat down and read this yet but I can’t wait as Scarlett has always made me
laugh when I’ve watched Gogglebox.
Make Good Things Happen Mug
I'm not sure where this mug is from as it was a gift but with the quote 'make good things happen' it's an uplifting mug. I find that at the moment working from home on my blog,
while looking for full-time work I reach for this mug when I want to start my
day with a bit more positivity.
I got so many lovely things for my birthday and I am super grateful for all my gifts. I even got some flavoured gin (this one to be exact) as she knows how much I love a Gin and Tonic!
What presents did you get for your last birthday? Have you read any of these books or tried any of these products?

Aw this is a lovely collection of gifts. I really want to get the Eat Beautiful book. The Naked concealers are great too, I prefer them to NARS.

Happy Belated Birthday!! The UD Concealer is my holy grail, I have two of the new vice lipsticks and love them!! I need to get the lightening drops as some of my foundations are too dark.
