Is there anything better when you’re a beauty addict and you
find an absolute gem of a beauty product in a drugstore? I think not. I find
that with so many new releases and affordable brands it’s now even harder to
distinguish great drugstore beauty products. This post includes products from
some of my favourite brands including Rimmel. NYX, Lottie London and Essie. What’s even better is that none of these products cost over
£16 (the most expensive is the eye shadow palette!)
Lottie London Soap Star Brush Cleanser - £6.99
For years when I’ve been washing my make-up brushes all I
have used is Johnsons Baby Shampoo and it’s worked well. But now it’s got to
the point that I’m curious about what other products there is out there. I’ve
found that with my Beauty Blender it’s harder to clean with shampoo but this
brush soap cleanser from Lottie London works like an absolute dream. I just run
the tap to dampen the soap and then swirl my dirty make-up brush (or sponge) on
top to remove the makeup and leave the brushes/sponge to dry overnight. What’s great is this cleanser really doesn’t
break the bank, as it is under £7.
I think this is the only nail polish, which I’ve used for at
least since Christmas, and I absolutely adore it. I find this colour really
suits my skin tone and the colour lasts so long on my nails. With a gel coat on
top, a lot of the girls at work have asked me if I’ve had my nails done when I’m
wearing this.
Rimmel Brow This Way Eyebrow Kit - £3.99 (currently buy one get one half price in Boots)
This past month Rimmel have seriously upped their brow game
and brought out a whole bunch of new products (which are all pretty good FYI)
but this brow this way palette is a firm favourite of mine. They’re so cheap at
only £3.99 and it’s the perfect ‘on the go’ palette. I use this just to add
more depth and colour to the sparse sections of my eyebrows and the brush and
spoolie which come with this kit are super handy too!
Lottie London is a brand I think which has been really
underrated in the beauty blogging world but I have always really liked the
brand. Recently, I noticed on ASOS they have a whole bunch of new products so I
couldn’t help but pick these two shades up. The lipsticks are incredibly
pigmented for the price and the colour pay off is gorgeous. My favourite shade
of the two is TBT and I’ve just seen on ASOS this shade also comes as a ‘lipkit’ I’m now refraining from buying the matching lip liner…
NYX Warm Neutrals Palette - £16 from Boots (sold out but available here at Cult Beauty)
Now are you ready for a bold statement? I think this eye
shadow palette is the best drugstore make up palette I have EVER tried. I
remember seeing people talk about this palette on YouTube but it has always been
out of stock when I’ve come across it. About a month ago (maybe a little longer
ago) my boyfriend and me were in the Trafford Centre and I found it! It’s only
£16 but out of stock on the Boots site but for an extra £2 you can get it in
stock at Cult Beauty. The shades are absolutely amazing, the shadows are great
for creating day time looks and night time looks.
Have you tried any of these beauty products? What are your favourite make-up products at the moment?

I've never tried anything from Lottie London or it never appealed to me until I started reading your blog. Thank you for making me try such an underrated brand because I absolutely love the lip kits and soap star
