I absolutely love beauty boxes and Birchbox beauty boxes
have been a favourite of mine for a few years now however my last two editions
I’ve felt slightly underwhelmed by. However a few days ago, this month’s
edition came in the post and I adore it. It’s a collaboration with the brand
Papier (as you can see this box is seriously beautiful!) and includes brands
such as Spectrum, Pop Beauty, Beaver Professional, SHOW Beauty and Korean
beauty brand, Keeome.
What made me love this month’s Birchbox even more was the
fact that you could pay (I think it was £4) for an exclusive designed notebook
from Papier and mine came personalised with my name on! I will be making this
notebook my on the go blogging notebook for any ideas I have.
SHOW Beauty Premiere Dry Shampoo - RRP £30
I’ve never found a dry shampoo that I’ve actually liked and
really get on with as I have found so many I’ve tried just leave my hair
feeling greasy so whenever there’s a hair product in a beauty box I get excited
as it’s a chance to discover something new and this dry shampoo has gone
straight in my handbag. I’m impressed with this so far but make sure you’re
spraying sections of your hair (at a distance) and massaging it into your hair
as it seems to work best this way!
POP Beauty I think is a really underrated make-up brand. I
won some products from POP Beauty in a blogger competition once and their matte
lipsticks are absolutely incredible. There’s a mauve shade which lives in my
handbag which I wear all the time (I’m just not sure of the name of it!). I was
really excited to see this palette in this months box as I am desperate to try
out more POP Beauty products. What’s great about this trio is they are shades
absolutely any skin tone can use. I’d use the lightest colour as a base colour,
middle colour to add more of a brightness to the eye and the dark brown shade
in the crease to add depth. The full palette is made up of 10 shades and it’s well
worth picking up as it’s only £15.50!
Can you ever have too many conditioning hair products in
your life? No. I’ve used this conditioning spray twice already and I love using
this. I spritz this a few times on my towel dried hair out the shower and it
helps keep my hair moisturised, especially before blow drying my hair.
Keeome Hydration Mask Therapy - RRP £29 for 6 masks
A pamper evening isn’t a pamper evening unless there is a
face mask involved and so I was BEYOND excited to see this Korean beauty brand
inside this months edition. Korean beauty is having a real moment in the UK and
rightly so as their skincare products are amazing. This sheet mask helps to
revitalise your skin in minutes thanks to a hydrating blend of mulberry
extracts and vital vitamins. I like to use a sheet mask at least once a week to
keep my skin looking hydrated and fresh.
Spectrum is a brand that has really grown over the past year,
which is probably due to the eye-catching colours of their brushes. This C06
eye contouring brush is part of the marble collection (which I already have)
and I use the C06 brush most days and so I am delighted to add another C06
brush from Spectrum to my make-up brush collection.
Overall, I am seriously impressed with this months box. This
has been my favourite Birchbox for the first time in forever and I genuinely
love all these products. I find that this months box features more ‘everyday
makeup’ then focused advertising. It’s hard to pick a favourite from this box
so I am going to say everything!
What do you think of this month’s Birchbox? Have you tried
and called whoever lent me a message!
You can sign up to Birchbox for as little as £10 a month (+£2.95 postage) here.
