If you’re reading this blog post you’re probably a bit of a
beauty addict or just a shopping addict in general! I think that everyone has
different tips/ways of saving money and so I thought I’d share some of mine
with you all today especially when it comes to shopping for beauty products!
The idea for this post came from the fact I have a new purse… isn’t it
amazing?! It’s from Radley.
Make sure you have all the loyalty cards
Make sure you sign up to all points cards you never know
when they’ll come in handy! My favourite points card to use is my Boots Advantage Card but I’d also recommend signing up to Superdrug's Beauty Card and the
Debenhams Beauty Card. They regularly have point bonuses and special offers to
build up your points. My favourite card to use is my Boots one as it has an app
with extra offers on which you can load onto your card and earn even more
points for your cash!
Newsletters may be seriously annoying but at times they can
come in seriously handy. I’ve saved money before thanks to being signed up to
the Look Fantastic newsletter as they always seem to offer a discount code and
the Superdrug newsletter is really good too.
Sometimes I forget to use Quidco but whenever I can I make
my purchases through the site to get cashback on my purchases. I wouldn’t
recommend using this method all the time as not all transactions get ‘tracked’
but I’ve saved money on Feel Unique and Cult Beauty orders using Quidco but it
can take anywhere up to 6 months to get the cashback as the process is quite
slow! But since signing up to Quidco last year, I’ve earnt about £20 cashback
so every little helps.
When you’re shopping online, always make sure you open
another tab and search for discount codes for the store you’re shopping at. I’ve
saved 20%, 15% and sometimes 25% off an order from doing this. Even if it’s just
a free delivery code, it’s always worth double-checking and it only takes a
minute longer to make the search. I’d recommend using Voucher Codes or Voucher
Cloud for great deals.
These are a great way of promoting a good deal as you’ll get
something back in return. Feel Unique have a ‘refer a friend’ service which
helps you save money on your next shop… bare in mind you could help me out and
save 15% off your next shop at Feel Unique by clicking this link.
Feel Unique also have an option where you can get 10% off a
brand for life (mines Urban Decay I think!) and Look Fantastic have a great
refer a friend service too.
Student Discounts
Are you still a student? Save a few pennies by signing up to
an NUS extra card or UNIDAYS. Most sites offer 10% off but there are certain
periods (normally near student loan day) were this can increase to 20% and
sometimes even more than that! Make sure when you’re about to leave university
you get a three year NUS card (like myself) to make sure you can keep saving
when you’re a graduate with absolutely no money to your name!
