About 10 days ago (that’s just an estimation) I read on
twitter that one of my favourite beauty brands, Nip and Fab are launching a
makeup range. I absolutely adore Nip and Fab skincare (especially their
glycolic fix cleansing pads) and have always rebought Nip and Fab products as they are
great value for money and really work on my skin. So I was beyond delighted
when a press email launched in my inbox as I was dying to give this range a
try. This is probably my favourite make up launch EVER (yes I’m THAT
impressed!)
The makeup range is perfect for the beauty obsessed (i.e me
and you) and the range includes eye shadow palettes, contour kits, highlighting
palettes, foundation, concealer, matte liquid lipsticks, eyebrow products and
blush palettes. They’re all so affordable too as nothing in the range is over £15.
All the products in this range are right up my street and
ever since receiving them I’ve used pretty much all of them everyday!
Colour correcting is a massive trend at the moment and
rightfully so, I personally spend so long trying to cover my uneven skin tone,
dark under eyes etc. So I was delighted to see that Nip and Fab have created colour-correcting
products in their makeup range. I have the shades Terracota and Peppermint.
Peppermint neutralises redness on the skin and is ideal for covering blemishes
and reducing irregular skin pigmentation. Terracota helps to neutralise blue
undertones and is ideal for concealing under eye circles and dark spots. I use
these before applying my foundation and so far so good I am really enjoying
using them and the applicator brush is great too. I also may have ordered
myself the yellow one…
There are 10 shades of foundation in this range and so you’re
guaranteed to find your perfect range. However, unfortunately this shade isn’t
perfect for me so I’m yet to find mine! I love the concept of this foundation
as it gives you medium coverage and is super easy to blend in (it’s just the
wrong shade for my skin tone!) This foundation is really light to apply and easy
to blend whether you’re a girl who uses a brush or your fingers to apply
foundation.
I absolutely love the concept of these light and dark
foundation mixers as it’s so annoying when you can’t find your perfect shade!
However, I’m trying to still attempt to mix these to create my perfect shade as
a little too much came out when I tried. I need to use a small amount of each
shade for it to work but I think it would work better if you just needed to do
one (lighten your foundation) or the other (darken your foundation).
Doesn’t this contour palette remind you a bit of the
Anastasia Beverly Hills ones? I love the shades in this and they are perfect
for creating that heavy contoured look for an evening out or just to add shape
to your face for a daytime look. The middle brown shade is an ideal contour
shade for me and the banana coloured powder is amazing too.
If there’s one thing I love its highlighter and this palette
is an absolute dream. It includes every shade you need from Rose Gold to Golden
and Sunkissed. The texture of these highlighters is really creamy and a little
goes a long way. As you can see from my swatches, the shades are super
pigmented and they make your skin glow. I use the lighter shades more but the
darker shades are perfect for adding a bit of colour to your face. I use
highlighter on the tops of my cheekbones, above my cupids bow and on my brow
bone to define my brows. What I love about this palette as well is that there’s a
shade to suit all skin tones.
Overall, I am so impressed with this range of makeup from
Nip and Fab and I can see these products becoming firm favourites in my makeup
bag (especially the colour correctors and highlighting palette!) and what has
impressed me more is how affordable the range is. It’s no more expensive than
NYX, L’Oreal, Maybelline and all other well-known drugstore brands. It’s
definitely my favourite launch of 2017 and I know these products will be
appearing in more posts, as I absolutely love them!
The range is rolling out into Superdrug stores this month
and you can pick up the range on the new Nip and Fab website here.
What do you think of this range? Will you be picking
anything up?
P.S since this post I may have picked up the yellow
colour corrector and nude eyeshadow palette so expect to see them in a post
soon!
