Each month when my beauty box subscriptions come through the
post, I’ve noticed that they are starting to become more and more unique with
different designs and themes and this month’s theme for Birchbox is one of my
favourites they’ve ever produced.
I always find that Birchbox boxes are always that little bit
too pretty to even throwaway and (FYI they make great affordable beauty storage
options too!) So if you’ve not heard of Birchbox, where have you been?
Birchbox is a monthly beauty subscription service that consists of 5 luxe
beauty treats from well-known brands (but always up and coming brands too).
This month’s Birchbox included treats from Spectrum
Collection, LOC (Birchbox’s own makeup brand), Huygens, Nuxe and Number 4.
This shadow stick is part of Birchbox’s own make up brand,
Love of Colour. This shadow stick is paraben free and removes the need for
using makeup brushes and beauty blenders. This shadow can last up to 11 hours
too! One thing I like using this stick for is an inner corner highlight for my
eye shadow looks as this is a gorgeous champagne/highlight colour.
Next up is a brand that I’ve never come across before (or
tried out) called Huygens. This cream is a daily moisturising treatment that
battles imperfections and keeps your skin feeling nourished, hydrated and even.
This is also formulated with rose water, which will make your skin look more
radiant as well.
When it comes to summer and hot weather (well what’s left of it) I always try to add more volume and body to my hair. As much as I love styling my hair so it’s straight, I always like adding that little bit extra and sprays like this are my best friend when I want to try something new. This spray is formulated with sugar cane, flexible styling aids and helps you achieve soft, nourished and wavy hair.
This is a beauty product that appears over and over again in
beauty boxes. It’s safe to say that now I must have about 3 or 4 backups of
this dry oil! This is something I only tend to use when I have my legs on show
as I feel like this would just get missed otherwise. So when I have my legs (or
arms) out I reach for this oil to give my skin moisture but always to make it
look like I’m glowing
at the same time.
Spectrum is a brand that is SERIOUSLY popular online and
with the blogging community. They are a relatively new brand (to the British
high street as they are now stocked in Boots!) but I have been a fan of the
brand for a couple of years now. I remember when they first launched and it’s amazing
to see the brand go from strength to strength.
But onto the brush… how amazing is this brush?! I absolutely
love the colour of this brush and it really stands out against my Zoeva, Real
Techniques and MAC brushes. I like using this brush in particular for powder
products especially bronzer as I find it’s the perfect shape to add colour to
my cheeks.
Overall, I really like this months box and my favourite
products are the Spectrum Collections brush and the LOC shadow stick.
What do you think of this month’s Birchbox? Have you tried
any of these products?
You can sign up to Birchbox for as little as £10 a month (plus £2.95 postage) here.

That's some pretty cool stuff especially the Nuxe. I love the actual box itself x

Birchbox US and UK seems to give really good contents but Canada one was pretty pathetic. They lasted only 6 months I think before fizzling out.
