I feel like I have been a really bad blogger lately as the
time has just seemed to run away with me. I’ve had my 23rd birthday
and I’ve been to not 1, not 2 but 3 weddings in 9 days (and different
locations) so its been a pretty busy couple of weekends… however I’m back and
with a new blog post (yes!)
One thing I’ve carried on loving is make up (obviously) and
I have some great new additions to my make up collection but also some favourites,
which have been there what feels like a very long time now. This months favourites includes Kiehls, Violet Voss, Urban Decay, Charlotte Tilbury, L'Oreal and Benefit.
Lets start with Kiehls, for what feels like about 2 months
now I’ve been obsessed with Kiehls products and my ultimate favourite which I
am sure I’ll be using for as long as I shall live is the midnight recovery
concentrate. I use this once I’ve removed my make up at night with the ClarinsPure Melt Cleansing Gel. I love the lavender smell of the oil and how a
little goes a long way. I always wake up in the morning with super hydrated and
plump skin.
After I’ve used my midnight recovery concentrate, I use my
creamy avocado eye cream from Kiehls (obviously) and apply this under my eyes. This
eye cream was designed by MTV’s Staying Alive Amabassador Leona Lewis, which makes
the packaging stand out so much, and £10 from every sale goes straight to the
charity. I’ve been using this about a month now and my eye bags have reduced
(significantly) and are 100x more hydrated and moisturised.
In the morning, I use the daily reviving concentrate and I
adore this. I apply 1 or 2 drops of this onto my face first thing in the
morning to wake up my skin but also as a base before I apply my makeup before I
go to work.
After applying my Kiehls daily reviving concentrate I use my
Urban Decay colour correcting concealer in peach underneath my eyes to hide any
dark circles before I use foundation and concealer. I have used a whole tube of
this (this ones my 2nd one) that’s how much I like it!
I am absolutely obsessed with this concealer from Benefit.
It’s one of there new additions but I’ve been using this about 6-8 weeks now
and every time I’ve applied make up. I like using this with my beauty blender
but it also works really well with a concealer brush. It’s got a whipped
formula so it is really easy to blend and helps reduce the appearance of pores.
As well as the Boing Airbrush Concealer, I use the original
Boing concealer to carve out my eyebrows once I’ve filled them in. This is
super high coverage and with a concealer brush, this concealer gives the
perfect sharp line underneath my brow. I also use this to cover any spots or
noticeable pigmentation.
L'Oreal Paris Paradise Mascara - £9.99
Next up is the new edition to L’Oreal’s mascara range and I
can’t quite make my mind up about this. Sometimes I’ll use this and my lashes
will look incredible and sometimes I can use this and my lashes look bulky and
stuck together, so despite loving and hating this product, I think I’ll be
going back to my Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara.
This lipstick was a present from my other half for my birthday
– how good is he?! I love Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks and this is a stunning
dark burgundy colour. I love how moisturising and pigmented the Charlotte
Tilbury lipsticks are and I can’t wait to add (even more) to my collection.
Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette - £39.50
So I’ve just gone back on my blog posts to see when I first
posted about this palette and I wrote a whole post on this HERE. I have used this palette every single day
since then without fail and I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever loved a makeup
palette SO much. I adore all the colours and shades and It’s perfect for
creating daytime and nighttime looks with. My most used colours are Chaser and
He Devil but I also love using Dirty Talk!
Lastly, the newest palette to my beauty collection, which
was again a birthday present and it’s the Nicol Concilio x Violet Voss palette
and let me tell you this palette is absolutely incredible. I’ve also done a
whole blog post about this palette which you can read HERE especially if you
want to see swatches!
Have you tried any of these products? Which is your favourite from this months monthly round up? Let me know your favourite makeup products at the moment in the comments!
