If you’ve not heard of the make up brand Violet Voss, then
you’ve clearly been living under a rock (well several rocks!) Despite being
super popular overseas, I feel like Violet Voss hasn’t had the hype it deserves
in the UK. It’s a brand I rarely see on beauty blogs, despite being available
on Cult Beauty and Beauty Bay.
Violet Voss X Nicol Concilio Eye Shadow Palette - £43 from Cult Beauty
This is my second Violet Voss palette to add to my
collection as I already own the Violet Voss Holy Grail palette (which is
incredible by the way) and if you are a girl (or guy) who loves pigmented eye
shadows then you definitely need a Violet Voss palette in your life. First
thing I noticed about the Nicol Concilio palette is how gorgeous the packaging
is, I mean it’s holographic, can it get any cooler?

Secondly, how amazing are the shades in this palette? And thirdly
the names are pretty awesome too. My favourite shade names are Pizza,
Chawwcolate, Hangry and Bruh. I really like the range of colours in this
palette as there are loads of matte shades, but also a good amount of shimmer
shades too. What I also like about the Violet Voss palettes is the size of the
eye shadows and no matter how much you love them, I have never seemed to hit
pan.
My favourite eye shadow shades to wear are orange, gold and
brown shades and this palette is full of them. However, they also have some
incredibly pigmented bronzes and a stunning blue and a green shade. This
palette has already inspired me to try out new looks and I am DESPERATE to use
the ‘Pingy’ shade as the pigmentation of that eye shadow is absolutely
incredible (as you’ll see in the picture below!)
(L-R L.A, Pingy, Victoria and Palm Tree)
I’ve noticed when I’ve been watching make up tutorials on
YouTube and seeing photos on Instagram that more ‘daring’ makeup looks are
trendy at the moment such as using really stand out colours on your eyes. I’ve
seen a lot of green eye shadow looks but also blue and green looks. I’ve been trawling
the Internet for a tutorial using pingy but I’m yet to find one!
One thing I’ll say is that these glitter eye shadows are
some of the most pigmented eye shadows I have ever tried and the fall out is
very minimal. I’ve trialled a look with the gold tones and they look amazing on
your eyes (especially as an inner corner highlight!)

If you’re an eye shadow fanatic (like myself) then I’d
highly recommend that you add this palette to your collection. You get 25 high
quality pigmented eye shadows (which is amazing for the price) especially the
glitter shadows, as they are incredible. I also think that if I was to streamline my make up for a
holiday/going away for a few days this will be the only eye shadow palette that
I’d take with me as it just covers all bases and all occasions.
What do you think of the Violet Voss X Nicol Concilio Palette? What eye shadow palette is on your wish list at the moment?

Oooo! Look at the colours! I experiment with brighter colours every now and then but very rarely as I'm a neutral girl at heart.

This is such a pretty palette and the swatches look amazing! I've always wanted to try Violet Voss shadows, but every time I pop by their site, the palette I want is sold out :( I'll have to pop by again after this haha.
