I feel a bit out of the loop when it comes to blogging at
the moment, with going away to Santorini, the early nights, getting home from
work when it’s dark I feel like the weeks are running away with me. I miss the
summer days where I could take blogging pictures after work and not just on a
weekend!
I originally wanted to take photos of this box and upload the pictures before I went away to Santorini, but the time in-between that has also allowed me to try out these products EVEN more than usual and FYI this month’s Birchbox is AMAZING so you better carry on reading…
First of all, I have a new found respect for Birchbox for doing a special collaboration on behalf of Breast Cancer awareness month with Coppafeel. Breast Cancer is something that effect (1/3 women) and it’s so important to raise awareness and encourage people to check their boobs. Each box includes a sticker which you can put in your shower which will help encourage you to check your boobs which I think is such a useful idea to remind you to check something so important.
Benefit POREfessional Pearl Primer - Sample Size, RRP £26
So, onto the products… first up is a new launch from Benefit
(YAS!) I love how Birchbox seems to get the new launches from Benefit in their
boxes before they even are seen on the high-street! This pearl primer is oil
free, it’s lightweight in texture and has a similar texture to the original
POREfessional primer but this version aims to give you a smoother and brighter
looking complexion. I’ve used this once so far and I absolutely love it. I
think this is such a useful product as who doesn’t want to look more awake in
the morning?!
ecoTOOLS is a brand I’ve really started to love lately and I
am obsessed with their sponges. I have the larger versions (these ones), which
I use constantly, and so I was SO excited to see these adorable sponges in this
months box. I think these are perfect for blending in cream products such as
cream contour or blusher, but they are also perfect for blending in concealer.
I would HIGHLY recommend picking these bad boys up.
Balance Me Pure Skin Face Wash - Sample Size, RRP £16
Balance Me is a brand I really like (and need to try more
products from!) I find their products to be very gentle on my skin; the sizes
you get in beauty boxes are perfect for travelling with as well. This cleanser
is 99% natural and smells like grapefruit, need I say anymore apart from that
you NEED this in your life?
ModelCo Contour Stick - RRP £8
ModelCo is a brand I would love to see more of on the high
street rather than just online. I find the products from this brand to be such
high quality as well. This contour stick is perfect for achieving a natural
contoured look as it’s so easy to blend and the colour of the stick is
gorgeous. I would recommend using the ecoTOOLS brushes from the box with this!
Anatomicals Grab Your Melons Shower Gel - RRP £1.50
Lastly in this months box is a shower gel from Anatomicals,
which is also exclusive to this months box (winner!) I really like products
from Anatomicals as they all smell SO good and they work wonders. Also this
shower gel is in this months box as another reminder to check your boobs while
you’re in the shower!
Overall, I absolutely love this months box and I can’t fault
the product selection inside the box. I find that Birchbox just seem to kill it
every time at the moment and I am SO excited already for next months box, which
is in collaboration with Vogue! (YES VOGUE!)
