This year actually marks 9
years since I started my blog. I can’t believe how fast time has gone and what
I love about blogging is that it evolves with your life, as you’re the one in
control. When I first started my blog I was 15 and doing my GCSE’s fast forward
to now when I’ve completed a university degree and have a full time job it’s natural
your interests change. I absolutely love all things beauty and so I thought it’s
time to do a monthly post where you can see an insight into my make-up bag…
hope you enjoy!
Smashbox Photo Finish Primerizer - £30 from Boots
If you’re a 2-in-1-product
lover you will adore this product from Smashbox. I have had this about 6 months
now and I really love it. I think it’s great if you’re lacking hydration in
your skin or if you are in a rush first thing in the morning and don’t have a
lot of time to get ready.
This foundation is seriously underrated
in my opinion and it’s a foundation I absolutely adore. This is the newest
foundation from Bare Minerals and this helps blur pores and imperfections. This
is probably the most ‘natural’ looking foundation I own and it also lasts on my
skin while I’m sweating in the gym too (winner!) The shade range in this foundation is super impressive too so you'll be sure to find your perfect shade.
This concealer and me have
had a long-standing relationship of around 3 years now and It’s going to
continue for a long time. I really like using this under my eyes and to
highlight the more dull areas of my skin. If you’re looking for your new
partner in crime when it comes to make-up, I’d go out and pick this ASAP.
I go through beauty blenders
about once every 6 months and that’s with using them every day as eventually
(they do dry up a bit!) however they are worth every single penny. I have used
alternatives to the beauty blender and have never found anything else, which
compares to the original!
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Light Wand - £29 and Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand - £29
I spoke about this duo in my
last blog post and for good reason, they’re both incredible. I can’t wait to
continue using these throughout January for a natural glowy look with carved
out cheekbones thanks to the Hollywood contour wand!
Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara - £21 from Boots
I came across this mascara
completely by accident and its absolutely INCREDIBLE. This mascara makes my
lashes look super volumised and thickened at the same time. What I really like
about this mascara is it doesn’t make my lashes look clumpy and doesn’t smudge
either.
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Very Victoria - £24 from Selfridges
If you’re looking for the
perfect toned nude, you’ll find it in this lipstick from Charlotte Tilbury. It’s
one of my most used lipsticks in my collection and I never go anywhere with out
it when it comes to an evening out.
Charlotte Tilbury Instant Eye Palette - £60 from Charlotte Tilbury
Have you ever seen such a
gorgeous looking palette?! This was a present from my other half for Christmas and
I really love it. I am a huge fan of Charlotte Tilbury and this eye shadow
palette didn’t disappoint. What I love about this palette is it covers all occasions
and is perfect for when you want to add a bit more glamour to a make-up look.
This palette from Smashbox I find
is incredibly underrated in the beauty blogging world. It’s an absolute bargain
and you can pick this up in your local Boots for just £24. I think the colours
in the palette are super wearable and if you love warm toned palettes you need
to pick this up ASAP. What I really like about this palette as well is that it’s
so travel friendly as it takes up the smallest amount of space in my make-up
bag.
