Cohorted x Doucce Beauty Box Review

Cohorted x Doucce Beauty Box* It feels like a lifetime ago since I posted about a Cohorted beauty box but I am super glad to have their latest edition to share with you all! This month's edition is in collaboration with New York based beauty brand, Doucce.  If you're like me and you haven't heard of Doucce before, then here's the lowdown; the brand spurred from the French word 'Douce' which means soft and elegant, and the aim of the brand is to produce trend-led products with a classic feel.

This month’s box has 6 products from Doucce inside including a look in a palette, which includes eye shadow, highlighter and blusher. The box also has a graphic liner pen (for the perfect winged eye) as well as mascara, lip liner, lipstick and a brow pencil. The value of this box is a massive £146 as well! So onto the beauty box contents... 

I’ve tried this liner pen a few times and I really like it. If you’re looking to achieve a sharp flick then this is a liner you need to try. The pen is deeply pigmented and it stays on all day. I’d recommend this if you’re in the market to try out a new liner!

Next up is the Maxlash Mascara, which I was really surprised about.  It doesn’t come close to my favourite mascara right now, which is the IT Cosmetics mascara but it’s quite close. If you’re a longer lash girl like myself then this mascara adds volume without making your lashes look clumpy. Not my favourite mascara that I’ve tried but it’s definitely not the worst mascara.

This brow product was completely the wrong colour for me (so It’ll be going to a friend) as the shade ‘ash brown’ is for someone with light brown brows. What’s good is that it comes with a spooly and that means it’s a perfect brow product for when you’re travelling or on the go.

 Now next is probably my favourite product in this months box and it’s the Matte Temptation Lipstick in 103 ‘First Date’. From the bullet it looks like it’ll be a matte lipstick but instead it was matte but not drying. As you can see from my swatch photo it’s a gorgeous nude shade, which is perfect for everyday wear.

Next up it’s the lip defining pencil in the shade 470 Lyra that has been chosen as it matches up with the matte temptation lipstick. It’s a gorgeous nude shade which has a rosy tint to it meaning that it’ll be suitable for so many skin tones.

Lastly, as part of this beauty box is a gorgeous palette which is worth a massive £50! This palette contains a selection of eye shadow colours as well as a highlighter and two gorgeous blusher shades. One thing I liked about this palette is that the colours are very neutral meaning you’ll be able to wear this palette for both daytime and nighttime looks.
