I was hoping to get this post up a little earlier, however a very busy working week doing my day job and the flu have happened so I am feeling (a little) sorry for myself. Hopefully though, you’re like me and your still doing your Christmas shopping and you’re looking for ideas for yourself or a beauty obsessed loved one. So I am hoping that my gift guide will help you on your way!
This gift guide is all about the ‘luxury’ items and when I say luxury (none of these items are above £70) which you would treat a loved one to, or like I say, buy a little Christmas treat from yourself. From brands including Huda Beauty, Marc Jacobs and Rituals you’ll be sure to find something that you’ll love or would love to treat a loved one too. So let's begin...
Huda Beauty 'The New Nude' Palette - £56 from Cult Beauty*
If there’s anyone who does an eyeshadow palette well it’s Huda Beauty. Every single launch she ever does I seem to be a little in love with! This palette is no different. What’s great about this palette is firstly, ITS PINK, secondly, ITS GLITTERY and thirdly ITS PINK. Did I mention that?
Nevertheless, this palette is an absolute dream. These shades are perfect for creating chilled day time look or dramatic evening looks and if you’re a fan of all things pink and glittery, you’ll love this palette.
Jimmy Choo Fever Eau De Parfum - £48.95 from Escentual *
When it comes to gifting, you really can’t go wrong with fragrance and this new perfume by Jimmy Choo is divine. Fever is a floral fragrance with notes of lychee and grapefruit as well as black plum. This scent smells better I think once it’s been applied to your skin for a couple of minutes as at first glance I wasn’t impressed but now I really am!
Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Fragrance - £44.95 from Fragrance Direct*
My ‘go-to’ fragrance for a night out is Black Opium by YSL. I think this is the perfect gift for the lady in your life who loves to stand out from the crowd (or yourself if you just fancy trialling something new!) Black Opium is a very distinctive scent and with notes of pink pepper, coffee, jasmine and orange blossom there is no reason to NOT love this scent.
Marc Jacobs Daisy Love Gift Set - £44.95 from Fragrance Direct*
I received Daisy Love a few weeks after it first came out from my other half for my birthday and I’ve worn this fragrance pretty much everyday since. If you’re buying for someone who loves the iconic ‘Daisy’ scent then you really can’t go wrong with Daisy Love. With notes of sweet cloudberries and sparkling cashmere musks and driftwood, you’ll be mad not to pick this scent up this Christmas.
I’ve always really liked Nina Ricci fragrances for their ‘sweet and feminine’ scents. This year Nina has added a new fragrance into the mix, Bella. Bella is still a sweet and feminine scent but vibrant at the same time, so this is perfect for the perfume lover in your life or if you just want to treat yourself before Christmas as you really can’t go wrong with Fragrance Directs’ prices!
Have you ever seen such a gorgeous perfume bottle? I have never tried any of the fragrances from Paco Rabanne but the smell of ‘Pure XS’ is dreamy. This scent has notes of Ylang-Ylang, Hot Vanilla and Sandal Wood so it’s a sweet but seductive scent at the same time. This set comes with a mini fragrance but also body lotion which is great value as the fragrance on it’s own is £60!
If you’re buying a gift for someone that loves pampering, then you can never go wrong with a bath/shower gift set. One of the brands I turn to when it comes to ‘luxury’ pampering is Rituals. This set from Rituals is all about ‘inner harmony’. This set includes foaming shower gel, body scrub, body cream and body wash which is everything you need to give yourself the perfect pamper session. What’s even better about this set is that it’s only £29.50 so it doesn’t break the bank.
If you’re looking for something a little more on the budget
friendly side, then you can’t go wrong with a facemask. This kit however is an
innovate facemask kit which has everything you need for a luxurious ‘at home’
facial. The set contains two uses of this illuminating facemask, mix in the pot
provided for a mess-free application which rejuvenates the skin, and at £12.50
this is an absolute bargain.
If you’re looking for a stylish beauty tool that doesn’t
break the bank, this silicone facial cleansing brush from Sensse is ideal. This
is a smart cleansing brush that combines thorough cleansing and anti-ageing in
one device. This silicone brush helps to draw out any dirt and impurities for
healthy-looking and glowing skin. This brush also comes with a 2 year warranty
and a gorgeous sequin bag for carrying too!
